How To Change Name of Processor

It can use if you want to trick someone into thinking your computer is a Pentium 4, but when your computer is a pentium 2 or 3.

Do the following:

A. Log into your registry editor (Start -> Run -> type regedit)
2. Go to the following registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ HARDWARE \ DIscription \ System \ CentralProcessor \
or
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ HARDWARE \ DIscription \ System \ CentralProcessor \ 0 \
or
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ HARDWARE \ DIscription \ System \ CentralProcessor \ 1 \
3. Find the key with the name "ProcessorNameString"
4. Click the right key and select Modify and change the Value data as you want (example: Intel Pentium 4).
Now you can see changes in your System Properties (right-click My Computer icon and select Properties).
